Sorrento Physiotherapy was established in 1989, and since has been committed to providing quality Physiotherapy service to the Southern Peninsula community and beyond.  The Physiotherapists all reside in the local community and are available for consultation by appointment 7 days a week.

Sorrento Physiotherapy specialises in the treatment of acute and chronic spinal and sporting conditions, and women's and men's health.

The Physiotherapists are highly qualified and experienced with both undergraduate and post-graduate qualifications.

Our Physiotherapists have undertaken post-graduate training allowing them to diagnose, treat and manage all of your sporting, spinal and musculoskeletal conditions.

Women's and Men's health Physiotherapy specialises in the management of bladder and bowel incontinence, pelvic floor disorders and physical conditions of pre- and post-natal period. Women's and Men's Health Physiotherapy provides specialised physiotherapy services to meet the needs and improve the quality of life of women and men with pelvic floor and continence disorders.

PHYSIOTHERAPISTS

Graham Reid

Graham graduated in Physiotherapy in 1972 at Lincoln Institute. He completed a post-graduate diploma in Sports Physiotherapy at Curtin University in 1991.

He gained qualifications in WorkHab Functional Capacity Evaluation in 1997.

Graham started the Bundoora Physiotherapy clinic in 1973, Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic in 1980, and was the Physiotherapy Director of the Diamond Valley Sports Medicine Centre from 1994.

Graham has over 25 years clinical experience in areas of injury management and recovery including elite sporting team injury management and occupational rehabilitation.

He has extensive experience in physical rehabilitation as well as acute injuries.

He has had a number of appointments as Physiotherapist to elite sporting teams including:

  • 8 years experience as senior Physiotherapist Hawthorn Football Club.(1973 - 1981)
  • 23 years experience as Victorian Senior Men's Hockey Team Physiotherapist.(1977-2000)
  • 20 years experience as Australian Men's Hockey team (Kookaburras) Physiotherapist (1981 - 2000)
  • 2 years experience as Australian Women's Hockey team (Hockeyroos) Physiotherapist. (1985 - 1987).
  • Member Science and Medical Commission Australian Synchronised Swimming association (1993 - 1996).
  • Member Science and Medical Commission Australian Fencing Federation (1994 - 1996).
  • Co-ordinator, Medical and Injury Management Services, Australian Hockey Association (1996 - 2000).

Bill Giuliano

Bill commenced his career as a Radiographer, before pursuing a career in Physiotherapy gaining wide experience in both spinal and sports Physiotherapy.

He commenced his clinical work in Warragul, before becoming a founding member of the Ballarat Spinal Unit established by Orthopaedic Specialist John Jens during the 1960's.

Bill's wide clinical experience included 30 years in clinical practice in Collins Street, Melbourne, International appointments, and elite sporting team associations.

Bill's experience includes:

  • Visiting Manipulative Physiotherapist, Sandy Bay Children's Hospital for Spinal disease in Hong Kong (1972 - 1985)
  • 10 years experience as Visiting Physiotherapist to the International Centre for Spinal Studies at London Clinic - Harley Street, London.
  • Guest Lecturer in Spinal Manipulative procedure at Outram Road General Hospital, Singapore (1981 - 1990).
  • Consultant to Care-Medico in Indonesia assessing Physiotherapy training needs in Indonesia.
  • 25 years experience as senior AFL Physiotherapist
    • Footscray (1965 - 1968),
    • Collingwood (1972 - 1996).

Bill has practiced on the Mornington Peninsula since 1990.

Gail Gregory

Gail is the founding member of Sorrento Physiotherapy.

She graduated in Physiotherapy in 1963, and completed post graduate diploma in Women's and Men's Health in 1999.

She worked in Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Private Practice in Melbourne until 1988, and started the Sorrento Physiotherapy practice in 1989.

Gail is primarily involved clinically in Women's and Men's Physiotherapy. Women's and Men's Health Physiotherapy provides specialised physiotherapy services to meet the needs and improve the quality of life of women and men with pelvic floor and continence disorders.   She provides the highest standards of quality clinical management using principles of evidence based Practice with achievable and patient centred outcomes and goals.
