Cycling and running injuries are normally caused by overuse, incorrect posture and biomechanics. Only 7% of cycling injuries result from collision.

Common cycling and running issues are:
• Neck and back pain
• ITB Syndrome
• Achilles Tendonitis
• Muscle tears
• Stress reactions

Cycling also can cause:
• Toe numbness
• Hand injuries – pain and numbness in hand
•  Shoulder pain / Elbow pain

With the increasing cycling in the community, especially on the Peninsula, we are seeing an increasing number of cycling issues. Many of these relate to the biomechanics of the bike set-up, or the posture of the rider.

Addressing these issues can form an integral part of managing injuries.
