Cycling and running injuries are normally caused by overuse, incorrect posture and biomechanics. Only 7% of cycling injuries result from collision.

Common cycling and running issues are:
• Neck and back pain
• ITB
• Achilles tendonitis
• Muscle tears
• Stress reactions

Cycling also can cause:
•  Shoulder pain/elbow pain
• Hand injuries – pain and numbness in hand
• Toe numbness

With the increasing cycling in the community, especially on the Peninsula, we are seeing an increasing number of cycling issues. Addressing these issues can form an integral part of managing injuries.
